Personalities

The core group at swca is made up of 8 people and our numbers tend to increase during the busy times of the year. Monty, Dave and Cindy manage the projects, client relations, and business of the company.

Monty Sheldan

Managing Partner - Creative Services

With more than two decades of experience as a designer and photographer, Monty’s role is to ensure the creative success of all our clients’ projects. His meticulous attention to detail and commitment to providing original and effective materials has gained him the trust and loyalty of our many long-term client partners.

In addition to his involvement with SWCA, Monty is an advisory board member for the Professional Photo-Imaging program at Langara College, and an instructor in the Communication Arts program. He has a passion for Jazz and Blues, and enjoys his down-time traveling with his wife Cindy and their new Airstream trailer.

Dave Wood

Managing Partner - Client Services

Dave has over twenty years of expertise managing major graphic design projects for ad agencies in western and eastern Canada. This extensive experience enables him to develop innovative and effective solutions for our clients, ensuring that their projects are executed smoothly and meet high standards for production quality and client satisfaction.

Outside the studio, Dave enjoys his time at home in White Rock with his wife Deb, their daughter Taylor, and dog Curly. When weather permits, he can often be found out on his boat, taking in the beautiful west coast scenery and tending a fishing line or two.

Cindy Sheldan

Creative Director

Cindy has been working as a communications designer since 1978, applying her talents to print design, product packaging and interactive projects. She combines her extensive design experience with a strategic approach to each project. Each assignment is carefully analysed and discussed prior to starting so that the creative direction is always effective and very appropriate.

Cindy dedicates some of her spare time to teaching creative thinking to Communication Arts students at Langara College. At their home in White Rock, Cindy, Monty and their two grown children host an annual “Three Minute Film Festival”, where friends and family are invited to make and premiere their own short film.
